Umberto Soverini was born in Bologna, Italy in 1959. He received the "Laurea" degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Bologna in 1985 and the Ph.D. in System Engineering in 1990. In 1992 he has been appointed Research Associate at the Department of Electronics, Computer Science and Systems, University of Bologna where he is currently Associate Professor. In 1999 he has been a visiting researcher at the Department of Systems and Control, Uppsala University. His research interests include stochastic realization theory, signal processing, system identification.
